Sky Italia grabs Olympics rights

News Corp. subsidiary Sky Italia will pay about 80 million euros ($109 million) for broadcast rights to the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2012 Summer Games, the broadcaster said Wednesday.

Bear Rescue Center Laos

A short time ago we reported about a bear rescue center in Vietnam. This time we look at a similar institution in Vietnam’s neighbor, Laos.

The bear sanctuary at Tat Kuang Si, 30km outside Laos’ ancient capital of Luang Prabang, on the Mekong River, takes in bears that have been freed from bear traffickers and poachers.

The rescue center is sponsored by the Australian-based charity Free The Bears Fund, which operates in Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, India, Cambodia and Vietnam.
