Curling: Sweden win women’s curling gold – AFP News : Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
Vancouver (AFP) - Defending champions Sweden won the women's Olympic curling gold on Friday, beating Canada 7-6 in a thrilling climax after China had earlier sealed the bronze.
Canada were on the verge of the title after taking a two-point lead into the tenth end but Sweden stayed cool to draw level and force an extra end before sealing the match and silencing a capacity crowd at the Vancouver Olympic Centre.
