The only match the Americans lost was in the first round against Latvia.

“This is probably the first beach volleyball match I’ve been nervous in before the match actually started,” said Dalhausser. “Probably because if we lost, I would have been devastated.”

The United States team will face Marcio Araujo and Fabio Luiz of Brazil in the final on Friday.
