Gold to China in women’s windsurfing

Yin Jian has won China’s first gold medal in sailing, by wining the women’s RS:X – windsurfing event.
Alessandra Sensini from Italy won the silver medal and Bryony Shaw from Great Britain won the bronze medal.

Russia’s Larisa Ilchenko has won the women’s 10km marathon swim at the Beijing Olympics setting a time of 1 hour 59 minutes and 27 seconds.

Shanaze Reade prepares for BMX

Shanaze Reade is hoping to win gold for Great Britain in the first women’s BMX event at an Olympic games.
Reade arrived in Beijing on Sunday and has been practicing at a replica of the Beijing Olympic course built in Manchester.
Qualifying races start tomorrow and the finals will be on Thursday.
