United States defeat Spain to win gold in men’s basketball

The United States ‘redeem team’ have certainly redeemed themselves at the Beijing Olympics, not losing a single game and defeating Spain 118-107 in the final to win the gold medal.
The bronze medal was won by Argentina, who defeated Lithuania 87-75.

Germany wins gold medal in men’s hockey

Germany defeated Spain 1-0 to win the gold medal in men’s hockey at the Beijing Olympics.
Christopher Zeller was the only goal scorer for the game.
Earlier in the day, Australia crushed the Netherlands 6-2 to win bronze.

Spain wins gold in men’s K2

Spain’s Saul Carviotto and Carlos Perez have won the gold medal in the men’s K2 – kayaking.

Ronald Rauhe and Tim Wieskotter from Germany won the silver medal. Raman Piatrushenka and Vadzim Makhneu from Belarus won the bronze.
